David, thanks for this-but frankly -- YOU STILL DON'T GET IT!!! "Reverend" Wright is a bigot, anti-semite, and is 100% anti-American. As a Jew and a survivor of 9/11 (was there and wathched so many people jump - and lost 43 colleagues) - I find him reprehensible. He is not just Obama's "Pastor" but his "teacher", "mentor", "uncle" etc. OUTRAGEOUS. Hillary said it correctly - you can can't choose your family, but you choose your pastor and church. This is 100000% a different issue than what preachers endorsed Hillary or McCain - Mr. Obama knew this hateful man for years and had him "marry" him and "confirm" his kids. NO THANKS!!! Where was his judgement? Integrity? Add that to his terrorist friends!!! Obama is not fit to be President - he scares the heck out of me! HILLARY is the ONLY choice for progressives. Obama has a glass jaw - and it is breaking. If Hillary loses, I -- and millions of others will vote for McCain.

I didn't realize that, as Sen. Obama suggested today, people had to vet their pastor. My father is an arch-conservative pastor who has, unfortunately, made statements that I find terribly wrong and discomforting. I do not condemn my father wholesale for that--he's still a man who has done so much to help people in great need. So, I completely understand Sen. Obama's sadness and reluctance in dealing with this matter. Dealt with it he has, and I challenge anyone to identify where, specifically, Obama's exhaustive positions align with the discomforting statements of his former pastor. Not to mention, the list of major priorities for this nation, both domestic and international, do not include, in my mind, who has pastored whom. And the very post-racial and deeply cynical electorate under 40 sees all this as a sorrowful distractive game.
