Even after many trips to Africa, I am still amazed at the array of stunning indigenous birds. Never having been a bird watcher, on my first trip to the continent I was most eager to see the massive elephants and rhinos. In my wildest dreams, never did I imagine I would become totally enchanted with the birds of Africa. In South Africa alone there are 858 species of birds and 31 of them can only be found in that magnificent nation.

Jonathan takes us to Mala Mala in South Africa with these two birds. Armed with such astoundingly bright colors Van Gogh himself could have painted these tiny delicate creatures. So even if the land of giants, God has taken time to grace the smallest with ultimate beauty.
