Decided today to have some fun and share facts about me that you might not know. We go through life with a family of friends - even close ones - assuming we know all about them. Over time, we discover strange little aspects about them. Sometimes the revelations can be shocking, but mostly we just react to the information with a baffling, "Really?". So today, I in the interest of disclosure (you notice I did not say "full disclosure"!) I am coming out of the closet with information you might not know about me. God knows why I am doing this but what the hell. Ok, here goes:
-I am addicted to Judge Judy and often refuse to take calls or do work when she is on everyday. I

always know there is justice as long as there is Judge Judy.
-I love coconut so much I would put it on steak if I could get away with it! Love the smell of it, the taste of it and even the appearance.
-Put me in front of the Weather Channel and I can sit there all day. Am a total weather junkie and love to be in nasty weather events. Want to take a vacation and hang with those storm chasers in the mid-West. -Write tons of poetry and rarely show it to anyone. Don't really think most of it is any good but it makes me feel like an intellectual!
-Crazy about cats and have two named Uganda and Sheeba. If I would allow myself I could easily be one of those 'cat ladies' who are discovered by the Board of Health having sixty cats in the house!
-Love magazines and subscribe to about thirty of them. However, as they get smaller and smaller and have less and less content I am learning to get information off the Internet.
-Enjoy the search for knowledge and can go on the Internet just seeking information. Have all sorts of trivia stored in my head that I even surprise myself when it comes out.
-Love to sing loudly and can't carry a tune. My favorite thing is to jump on overnight guests' beds first thing in the morning singing, "Jesus Wants You for a Sunbeam." The shocked expressions on their faces is worth it all!
-Talk to animals all the time and am convinced with more practice I could be an animal whisperer! The deer know my voice and some even know their names now. Move over Dr. Doolittle!
-Mad for practical jokes and love to laugh.
-Really have trouble being friends with folks who treat minimum wage service people badly, who are mean to animals and who don't vote on election day.
-Am a hopeless romantic who loves candlelight, fireplaces and poetry but always had problems with the concept of monogamy or marriage.
-Although clean cut in appearance I have a strong hippie side and love drum circles, male bonding, peace, love and dancing naked in the woods. My inner "Burning Man".
-Am fascinated with the role of sexuality in our lives and how it impacts everything we do. In the process of reading about it, have become more and more of a sexual liberationist.
-I am a pacifist.
-Relish sitting in front of a fire and staying up late sharing with close friends intimate details about each other's life journeys.
-Voracious for Agatha Christie books and can read them over and over again.
-Big fan of horror movies - but the old-fashioned kind that really scare you instead of nauseate you with slasher violence.
-In just over a month, I will start voting again on American Idol. Have yet to vote for a winner. Maybe this is my year!
-Hate to cook and love to eat.
-Sleep in the nude but love to wear pajamas when I am writing!
-Never stop being in awe of nature. Every day when i wake up here it is like a new piece of performance art for me.
-Winter is my favorite season and as far as I am concerned, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"
-Can sit and talk with a total stranger about almost anything.
-First vote in my life was for a Republican running for Governor of Maryland against a Democratic segregationist - it was cast for Spiro Agnew!
-I would almost vote for the Kennedy dog over anyone else!
-Remember phone party lines, outdoor johns, wood stoves, manual typewriters, carbon copy paper, washers where you had to ring out your clothes by hand, milkmen, real mail, long hand-written letters, the first jets, the first non-stop crosscountry commercial flight, five cent ice cream cones and twenty-five cent gas.-The first car I can remember in my family was a 1946 DeSoto.
-Love any crime show on television such as Criminal Minds, The Mentalist and The Closer.
-You can take away my gay card because I really don't like Opera but maybe I can keep it since I do like dance.
-My heroes are Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, Gandhi, Bertrand Russell, Pueblo Neruda, John Kennedy and Nelson Mandela.
-Can be very claustrophobic and need huge windows in my home, can't stand crowded elevators or the back seat of a two door car.
-Can sleep almost anywhere and love naps and I do snore.
-Finally, I adore my friends more than any of them will ever know.
