-Figured out the perfect job for bank CEOs who lose their jobs. They would be perfect party planners given their taste for private extravaganzas! They can use all that talent they gained on Las Vegas junkets, booking major stars, catering lavish banquets and creating new careers. After all, those who have partied on taxpayer money should be experts at spending other people's money on parties!

-Apparently the economy is creating another problem. The rapid growth of 'hate groups' in America is T1home_hate attributed to our difficult times. The Southern Poverty Law Center released its annual report and the information is most disturbing. The number of 'hate groups' has increased by 54% this year. Amazingly, notoriously liberal California has seen the greatest number of such crazies.

 -Former Commerce Secretary and brother of Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago, Bill Daley, is seriously considering running for the United States Senate seat of Ronald Burris. What a change that would be from a party hack to talented and competent visionary. In addition, Daley would bring a wealth of expertise in these troubled economic times.

 -As we await the California Supreme Court's decision next week on Proposition 8, we owe a huge 'thank you' to both the National NAACP and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund for strongly urging the court to overturn Proposition 8.

-While the subject is on Proposition 8, journalist Hank Plante of CBS 5 in San Francisco has fashioned a 17 minute summary of all their marriage stories from 2008 leading up to this decision. Just click here to watch this enthralling and touching chronicle.

-Here we go again. And again. Seems like the latest CNN poll of Republicans on their nominee for 2012 shows Governor Sarah Palin with 29%, "more enlightened" Mike Huckabee at 26% and Mitt Romney at 21%. Palin does so well because she has a 10% lead among Republican women.

-KyPolitics.org reports that the Republican Senate Campaign Committee (RSCC) might support a primary challenge against incumbent Republican Jim Bunning. State Senator Leader David Williams is in Washington meeting with officials of the national committee. Bunning has threatened to sue the RSCC if they attempt to oppose him. He even has considered resigning so the Democratic governor can make the appointment to get revenge on the Republicans!

-Scorecard reports that United States Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) might not even get the endorsement of the Pennsylvania Republican Party if he has a primary. Seems that the State Party is following the lead of the national party against Senate members who might support parts of President Obama's "agenda". Now those are some real opened minded folks!

-Continuing to chat about Republicans not getting along with Republicans, the good news continues from Texas. According to Public Policy Polling, United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) defeats incumbent Governor Rick Perry (R) in a primary race for Governor of the Lone Star state.

-Americans strongly support President Obama's decision to raise troop levels in Afghanistan. Our own readers on davidmixner.com supported the President's decision by 72% to 19% with the rest undecided. For the record, my vote was 'no'.

According to Queerty.com, in Taiwan, all anyone can talk about is the rumored torrid gay affair between Taiwan's President Ma Ying-jeou (photo) and a DJ from the States named Charles Mack ("DJ Chocolate"). Even the legislature has gotten involved in this brewing scandal.

-Not good news for Great Britain Prime Minister Gordon Brown. A recent poll published in The Times showed the Conservatives winning 42% of the vote, Labor with 28% and the Liberal Democrats with their 18%..

-World Mayor.com has picked Cape Town Mayor Helen Zille as "The Most Outstanding Mayor in the World" for 2008. No United States mayor made the finalists.

-In South Africa, the breakaway insurgents from the African National Congress (ANC) have nominated a Methodist Bishop as their candidate for President in the upcoming elections on April 22. The Congress of the People (COPE) gave the nod to Bishop Mvume Dandala to oppose Mandela backed Jacob Zuma.

-Governor David Paterson of New York is now on his third staff since taking office. In addition, he has brought back in a 'volunteer capacity' his trusted and respected advisor Charles J. O'Byrne. The New York Times is concerned about possible conflicts-of-interest with O'Byrne.
