When Jonathan sent me this week's photograph, my first reaction was "how in the hell did he get so deep into a volcano?!" This explosion of color leaves you breathless. Reading Jonathan's accompanying note, the realization came that he was not that foolhardy at all. The photograph is, in actuality, a stunning Orchid Cactus flower. Jonathan describes it as "an orgasmic explosion of pistils, stamen's and color." Most would describe it as just simply beautiful.
