The last day or two has proven that the international outrage over the proposed legislation in Uganda has had a major impact. Never doubt this communities ability to move even the heaviest rock. Rev. Rick Warren who only two weeks ago on "Meet the Press" refused to take a stance has felt compelled to issue a condemnation of the legislation today.

As of now, it appears that the death penalty and life imprisonment provisions of the legislation MIGHT be removed. Although, it remains to be seen if the other elements of Bill 18 would continue. The other major question is what will now be the prison sentence to replace the death/life sentence. Nevertheless, we all are having an impact.

By the way, kudos to Rachel Maddow for being relentless on this issue. President Barack Obama is still silent on the issue.  Here is the Rev. Rick Warren's statement.
