I have lonnnnnnnnng thought Georgie Boy a moral empty suit since his duplicity and cowardice during the 1993 lift the ban fiasco when he was one of the Chief Jesters in the Clinton White House. Like so many who traded such resumes for a Go To TV News-Do Not Attend Journalism School job, he's a borderline hack.

But this conversation proves he's a professional putz from his aburd question about Polanski to his queer-baiting about the kiss. And I thought St. Oprah was the only megabucks TV personality still inherently homophobic enough to pull such crap.

Good for Ewan giving it to him TWICE, including the unintended, not fully articulated, "Oh, you think you're a hot little shit because someone paid you to write a book about politics? WRONG!"

Cue Pansy Pollyannas cataloguing all of Georgie's close gay friends.....

Ewan is clearly - and unitentionally emerging as a rennescance(sp?)man for our times. Easy enough, that he is predictably gonna be a God to gay guys like me? But he is also a 'stand up, go to' guy for ALL men. Yet Ewan doesn't own this all to himself. I am also blessed with straight pals who would have no problem with an innocent kiss. Won't it be a wonderful world; when two men kissing does not need to be declaration of sexual identity? How much faster would the Berlin Wall have come down, if only Ronald Reagan had kissed someone? I wish the handsome Ewan all damn good things! :)

Ewan has always been my fav actor..... After Moulin Rouge I went to Hollywood Vid and Netflix and watched all his movies I had missed. Adorable person....real, true, and that is his strength. REAL. The man is always real. You point out the towleroad perspective; but even better is him commenting on Politicians. "Who wants to read a book about politicians?" :-o

Then, Mr. Disingenuous, George says: "I wrote a book like that" Ha! Too funny. "I haven't been done like this since my wife was on the show" ;-) Love it.

Fake asswipe....
