-The Sofia, Bulgaria Gay Pride event was held this past Saturday without violence. Father Evgenii Yanakiev urged followers of the Orthodox Church to stone marchers. Fortunately it appears that the Father had very few followers.

-Steven Spielberg will love this story. Off Cape Cod near Chatham have appeared two huge Great White sharks. One of the sharks was an astounding 16 feet long! In the best tradition of Spielberg's "Jaws" a heavy debate is taking place if it is necessary to close the beaches on a 4th of July holiday. The town has issued an advisory.

-You wouldn't have wanted to be in Aberdeen, Mississippi this past Sunday at 3PM. Dr. Steve Masters indicates that the heat index hit a high of 136 degrees with a temperature of 104 degrees and a dew point of 84!

-The idiots in management of New York City's major utility, ConEd, have locked out the workers in a labor dispute. They are convinced in a heat wave that they can handle any crisis without the workers. These egotistic executives are going to end up killing someone.

-Another effort for equality in England. The Advocate reports that the spouses of gay knights and dames receive no titles like their counterparts who are straight. There is legislation to correct this injustice. We might have to curtsey soon to David Furnish!

-For weeks, those who opposed the ObamaCare plan have led in most polls by as much as 10 to 15 percent. However in the latest CNN/ORC poll, it is now tied at 50% who support Supreme Court decision and 49% who oppose.
