The latest Quinnipiac Poll shows that the 2013 Mayor's races is New York City Council President Christine Quinn's to lose. She has a commanding lead among Democrats voters. If Quinn wins not only will she be the first LGBT person to hold that esteemed office but also the first woman in the history of the Big Apple to be its Mayor.

The poll also shows that Quinn would easily defeat any Republican candidate currently running for the office. Quinn's approval rating is an extremely high 65% among New York voters. Quinn has the lead across the board with African American, Hispanic, Black, White, Men and Women voters.

Here are the results of the poll:

Christine Quinn: 32%

William Thompson: 10%

Bill de Blasio: 9%

John Liu: 5%

Scott Stringer: 4% (He has withdrawn from this race)
