While most of the world has been focused on the exciting rebuilding of Ground Zero, a massive project is taking place in midtown Manhattan. The Hudson Yards Project will encompass 48 city blocks and 26 acres of parks. The parcel is located on the Westside of New York between 30th Street and 43rd Street and stretch from the Hudson to 8th Ave.

The area is mostly empty with the old rail yards dominating the landscape. The development will include housing, retail space, hotels, a public school, subway extension and tons of park land sitting at the what will eventually be the end of the High Line. This is has the promise to be an exciting new place of architecture and urban life if completed with careful planning.
