Isn't it amazing how numb or accustom we can become to horror? For years as reports surfaced of millions dying in the Congo, it sort of disappeared at first from the front pages and now hardly even receives acknowledgement. The Syrian Civil War is rapidly joining the ranks of 'everyday occurrence' that neither shocks us anymore or even gains our attention.
Boston.com's Big Picture is attempting to remind us of the horror. Go to the site to see the several dozen photographs from photojournalists who have put their lives on the line to bring them to us. Also be sure to read the ever important photographer credits for the following pictures.
Don't forget Syria.
