Americans who have been making extraordinary progress in supporting full equality for LGBT Americans are not quite willing to accept them as Scout Leaders. According to Gallup, while those who support an inclusive Scouting organization has jumped to 40%, a slim majority of 52% support banning LGBT Americans from serving as Scout leaders.

However, the news is good for a number of other issues over the last three years.

Americans support for inheritance rights for LGBT Americans has jumped from 73% to 78% since 2009.

Americans support adoption rights for LGBT parents. It has increased from 54% in 2009 to currently 61%.

Finally, our fellow citizens now believe that with should have full employee, health insurance and domestic partners rights by 77% which is up by 10% since 2009.
