- Median household income: $46,718

4. Lincoln, Neb.

- Oct. 2012 unemployment rate: 3.2%
- Total population: 307,165
- Median household income:$49,315

5. Midland, Texas

- Oct. 2012 unemployment rate: 3.3% (tied for 6th)
- Total population:140,308
- Median household income: $54,330
