Day in and day out the Catholic Church has put its full resources into attacking the LGBT community. They have spoken more in opposition to marriage equality then they have on the issue of hunger, war or poverty. The Pope and Cardinals have been obsess with the issue and unrelenting in their vicious pronouncements.

However it is the Pope, as he resigns, who is making sure that no criminal charges can be brought against him in retirement. In Los Angeles, Cardinal Mahoney ignoring the pain of the young men molested is the one who offered the criminals a place to hide and covered up their crimes. In England, a Cardinal is forced to retire because of using his powerful positions in the church to sexually abuse other priests.

Just when you think it is impossible for the Catholic Church to sink any lower they prove they have the capacity to do just that.

Really, just think about it. One of the priorities for those around Pope Benedict XVI is to ensure he is protected against any legal action. While they are frantically covering up the misdeeds of the church such as molestation, embezzlement and cover-ups of criminal behavior they are attempting to be the moral arbitrator of marriage.

Really? Give me a break. Clean up your own house first before spreading dirt all over mine.
