Snow (at times mixed with sleet and rain) has begun falling in New York City about 6:30AM this morning. Almost every hour they up the totals for the New York City area. Currently most experts are expecting about 15 inches of snow with wind gusts up to 50mph. Thousands of flights have been canceled and many Interstates are expected to be closed tonight from white outs and drifting snow.
Blizzard warning have now been extended inland to Northern New Jersey and keep expanding. The worse of the storm is expected to hit New York City starting around 6PM and continue into morning. Boston is the prime target with two to three feet of snow with winds to 60 mph drifting it.
While the storm will be bad there will be a quick warm up at the beginning of the week which is typically for February storms.
