The models still can't reach agreement for New York City but are in agreement for New England. The GFS (American Model) has the Big Apple getting just three inches of snow while the RPM Model has the city receiving close to thirty inches! The Euro Model (and the most respected) has us receiving eight to twelve inches.
The National Weather Bureau has increasingly raised the amount of snow for this storm for New York City. Starting out with the 3 to 6 inch forecast they now are saying 8 to 12 inches.
The area from Providence, Rhode Island to Portland, Maine should get totally hammered with a major blizzard. Some areas will have two feet of snow and hurricane force winds (75mph +).
This has been a tough storm to predict but increasingly it appears a broad area of the Northeast will experience a major winter storm.
