Feb 1 2013

Really good news coming out of Rhode Island. Citizens of the state now support marriage equality 57% to 36% who are opposed to it. In February, 2011 the figures were 50% for marriage equality and 41% against it. That is an increase in the margin for marriage equality by 12%! That is a huge increase in just two years.

Public Policy Polling showed that once again the young are leading the way with 65% of those under the age of 45 supporting marriage equality and only 31% are opposed.

Governor Lincoln Chafee is having a tougher time with the poll showing he has the second worse ratings of any Governor in the country. He has only 33% of Rhode Island voters who view him favorably.
