Southern Equality continues to plan and implement direct actions around marriage equality that are the most inspiring grassroot actions taking place in America. All over the South LGBT couples have with grace and dignity gone to their local marriage licence bureau's and asked for the legal documents to get married. After being turned down, the couples take time to explain the issue to the local officials.

The direct actions are powerful, moving and inspirational. If their courage could spread to other regions outside the South it would be remarkable. Perhaps focusing on the two days before the Supreme Court hearings on marriage equality.
