Over the lifetime of this blog, I have attempted to being to the readers the reality of war. Hoping that the powerful images and courage of the photojournalists in the field would make it harder for people to blindly enter into combat. Sometimes the photographs have been raw and stark.
So for a change of pace, here are photographs of men relaxing during war. Finding that peaceful moment away from home to bond as friends and fellow warriors facing combat. Many of these images are from Evan Bachner's "At Ease: Navy Men of World War II".
