There has been 'politicalchatter' this past week about Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) taking on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a primary. However, there is another person that is interested in the job. Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley headed to New Hampshire this weekend and is testing the waters.
The Governor is not an 'empty suit' and goes into the election season with an impressive record as Governor. He successfully pushed for the repeal of the death penalty, pass marriage equality, passed gun control legislation, pushed through education reform and dramatically reduced crime in Maryland.
In his New Hampshire tour this weekend, he unfolded this new video as an introduction before he spoke to the audience. Looks like he is running to me!

In October on the Westside of New York City, there was a the annual 'skate board bomb' that made its way down the Westside to Times Square. Thousands of long board skaters took to the streets to reclaim them briefly for the sport.
This is hysterical. Enjoy!

She is only nine years old but little Amira Willghagen wowed the world with her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini's opera 'Gianni Schicchi'. You have to love these talent shows because so many people get a chance of a life time. Otherwise so many would be singing at local senior citizen homes and none of us would have the joy of hearing or witnessing their incredible talents.

See 'Bruce' sing a stripped down version of one of his classics at a benefit for Bridge School in 1987. Rolling Stone Magazine reports on the event:
After playing stadiums all over the globe in 1985, Springsteen's live appearances in 1986 were mainly surprise appearances at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park to benefit the workers at a local factory that was on verge of closing. "The marriage between a community and a company is a special thing," he said during one of the shows. "What happens when the jobs go away and the people remain?"
Springsteen's only major appearance that year was at Neil Young's inaugural Bridge School Benefit in Mountain View, California. He shared a bill with Don Henley, Tom Petty, Robin Williams and a reunited Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Accompanied only by keyboardist Danny Federici and guitarist Nils Lofgren, Springsteen played an entirely acoustic set that mixed in hits like "Glory Days" and "Born in the U.S.A." with deep cuts like "Mansion on the Hill" and "Seeds." Here's video of "Dancing in the Dark."

An extraordinary story of two dads in North Carolina who applied for a marriage license. They are part of the extraordinary Campaign for Southern Equality. They have a family and eventually went to Washington, DC to get married. An inspirational and powerful video.
